Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she is the only person to be awarded 10/10 marks during an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi is the Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci aged six. First competing in the national junior championships in Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. Then in the year 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. Her first ever international event in 1972 she won the event by winning three gold awards. In 1975, she took home four golds and one silver medal in her debut senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first woman ever to successfully perform the backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment business by performing in the form of a figure skater. Together with her younger brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol's career began in entertainment in her teens. Early on Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured ice skating which included stage performances.
