Barbara Heck

Ruckle, Barbara (Heck) b. Bastian Ruckle The father of Margaret Embury and Bastian Ruckle was born in Ballingrane in 1734. The couple got married in Paul Heck 1760 in Ireland. They had seven children. Four were born.

The subject of biographical works has been an active participant in important occasions or has articulated unique concepts or ideas that have been recorded in documentary format. Barbara Heck, on the other hand, left no written statements or letters. The proof of items as her date of marriage is simply secondary. There is no evidence of primary sources, from which one can reconstruct her motives and her actions throughout most of her existence. But she is one of the most heroic figures in early North American Methodism history. In this case, the biographer's role is to delineate and interpret the myth as well as, if they can, identify the person who is enshrined within the myth.

The Methodist historian Abel Stevens wrote in 1866. Barbara Heck is now unquestionably the first woman in the history of New World ecclesiastical women, because of the advancements made by Methodism. The significance of her accomplishments will be largely due to the naming of her deserving Name based on the history of the great cause with the memory of her is associated more so than from the story of her own life. Barbara Heck was involved fortuitously with the beginning of Methodism in Canada and the United States and Canada and her fame is based on the inherent tendency of the most successful movements or organization to celebrate its origins to enhance its perception of heritage and be a part of its history.
